I’m writing to share some exciting news about the future of our credit union!

After careful thought and reflection by the Board of Directors and Management Team, PCT Federal Credit Union will soon be changing its name to Cranberry Federal Credit Union.

While our name is changing, everything you know and trust about us is staying the same. We’re still your credit union — still local, still member-owned, and still grounded in the values that have guided us since the beginning. We’re proud to say: We are people helping people.

Our new name, Cranberry Federal Credit Union, reflects the strong connection we have to the community we serve. As a credit union rooted in Wareham, our story began by supporting local teachers — individuals who dedicate themselves every day to helping students grow, thrive, and succeed. That same spirit of care and commitment has guided our credit union from the start. Like teachers planting seeds of knowledge, we’ve been here to help our members build strong financial futures. Our new name honors both our region’s proud cranberry heritage and the hardworking families, educators, and community members who make this area so special. It’s a fresh chapter — one that allows us to grow while staying true to who we are.

With this new name, we’re embracing a future focused on helping our members grow, too. That’s why our new motto will be: Harvesting Financial Success. Because whether you’re buying your first home, saving for the future, or building your credit, we’re here to help you thrive — every step of the way.

Cranberry Federal Credit Union – FAQs

Q: Why is the credit union changing its name?

A: We’re changing our name to Cranberry Federal Credit Union to better reflect our deep roots in the community and our commitment to the hardworking families of our region. The cranberry is a proud symbol of our local heritage, and this fresh name honors both where we come from and where we’re going.

Q: When will the new name be in use?

A: Our new name, Cranberry Federal Credit Union, will officially go into effect on August 1, 2025.

Q: Will my account numbers change?

A: No, your account numbers will remain the same. There will be no interruption to your accounts or the services you rely on.

Q: Is PCT being acquired or merging with another credit union?

A: No, we are not being acquired or merging. This is simply a name change that better aligns with our identity and our continued service to our community.

Q: Do I need to do anything because of the name change?

A: No action is needed from you! Your accounts, cards, online banking, and other services will continue to operate just as they always have.

Q: What about my checks and debit/credit cards?

A: Your current checks and cards will continue to work as usual. New versions with the Cranberry FCU branding will be issued this fall when your current ones expire or are replaced.

Q: Will the Routing Number change?

A: No, our Routing Number will remain the same: 211381327.

Q: Will this affect online banking or the mobile app?

A: No, our mobile app and online banking will receive updated branding, but your login credentials and all functionality will remain unchanged.

Q: How does this benefit me as a member?

A: This rebrand reflects our growth and continued dedication to providing relevant, forward-thinking financial services while remaining deeply connected to the local community.

Q: Will there be any staff changes or layoffs due to the rebrand?

A: No. This name change does not involve any layoffs or staffing changes. You’ll still see the same friendly faces at our branches and on the phones.
